Prediction of Exhaust Gas Temperature of a Diesel Engine Running with Diesel Fuel-biodiesel-1-pentanol Ternary Blends

Abstract Diesel engines are utilized in the transportation sector owing to their high efficiency. In recent years, biodiesel and higher alcohols have taken attention of researchers as promising alternative fuels for diesel engines. this article, fuel is mixed with corn oil at ratio 80:20 (v/v). 2%, 5% 8% 1-pentanol (v/v) into fuel-corn binary blend obtaining ternary blends. The impacts blends on some performance combustion behaviors a engine researched. Power exponential models predict exhaust gas temperature linking maximum pressure rise rate, brake effective power, lower heating value, speed, equivalence latent heat evaporation derived through least square error method. use results power (5.4246%-6.0066%), (5.9504%-7.9459%,) peak cylinder (6.8502%-7.1629%), compared fuel. average relative errors specified 1.9214% 2.9749% models, respectively.
